The Warriors are a squad of all-stars, but Klay Thompson might just be their sweetly strange, understated talisman.
When things go south, Thompson is the calming influence. When other players are injured, he’s resilient. He’s never missed a playoff game, and he’s only missed 21 games of the 550-plus he’s played since being drafted in 2011.
In celebration of the unlikely superstar, we’ve collected some of our favorite #JustKlayThings, from his favorite way to cheer himself up (of course it involves Rocco) to that time he went viral for dancing in a Chinese club.
“If I could do it all over again, I would be Klay,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said at the 2017 Warriors media day. “I want to be Klay. He’s got it figured out. He just wants to play hoop and have fun, play with his dog. He’s the most low-maintenance guy on earth.”
