Irish weather: Everyone said the same thing after Storm Hector blasted Ireland with 125km/h winds -

Storm Hector made landfall last night and wrecked havoc across Ireland.

Thousands of homes were left without power, while fallen trees left lanes and roads blocked.

Two weather warnings issued by Met Eireann expired at 10am and the winds began to ease throughout the afternoon.

But after the storm, many people were left saying the same thing.

Lots of people took to social media to compare the weather to what we had last week.

One person wrote on Twitter: “This time last week all I needed was a pair of shorts. This week I’ll need a coat #StormHector.”

Another person said: “So this time last week I was looking at this, now I’m looking at weather like winter!”

A third shared a funny meme, captioning it: “Hearing this stormyyy windyyy af weather after having the good spell for so long and being on holidays this time last week.”

Someone else shared two funny pictures of Ireland’s weather map. They wrote: “Last week vs this week.”

Another person said: “So there’s a storm a brewing called hector, nice just nice after all that wonderful weather last week we have a storm called hector coming.”
